TIMES BANYUWANGI, LAMONGAN – Lamongan had just introduce their traditional outfit. The outfit was designed by Arif Ansori the local designer from Lamongan.

This outfit was designed based on the local folklore and history of lamongan it self. Every detail was made with a deep thought.

"The udeng (bandage) was made as what Sunan Drajat (famous local scholar) wore. And tied 5 times which symbolize the Pancasila, the shirt also made special, it was inspired by the Baju Tambal Sewu, and has 5 button which also symbolize Pancasila," Ari said.

Meanwhile the Jarik or the Javanese traditional fabric used Sendang style with a Garuda bird and Tanjung flower on it.

Meanwhile, Lamongan used wedding dress motif as their traditional outfit for the girl with black and white color which symbolize two side of life. The make up was also similiarized with the modern make up which booming right now. (*)
