JAKARTA – Qarina Chuzaimah, a student of the D4 Marketing Management Study Program at the State Polytechnic of Malang (Polinema) majoring in Commercial Administration, won 1st place in the Secretarial Skills category at the national-level Business Administration Olympic 2024 held at the State Polytechnic of Malang. 

The Secretarial Skills Competition held by State Polytechnic od Malang is a contest in the secretariat field that includes various skills such as Keyboarding, Business Correspondence, Petty Cash, Filing System, Meeting Handling, and Telephone Handling. The competition attracts many students to try new experiences and develop skills in the secretariat field.

"I participated in this championship to develop my skills in the competition," said Qarina Chuzaimah, Saturday (6/7/2024). This high motivation came from her interest in the fields she wanted to master.

Qarina prepared very carefully to achieve maximum results. "The preparation I focused on the most was Keyboarding, Petty Cash, and Filing System. As for other skills, I still learn them even though they are not too in-depth," she added.

Qarina's victory did not come easily. She admitted that the biggest challenge she faced was her lack of knowledge about phone handling. However, with a combination of prayers, efforts, dreams, and tawakal, which she abbreviated to DUIT (Doa, Usaha, Impian, Tawakal), Qarina managed to overcome these challenges.

This success was not only a source of pride for himself, but also for the State Polytechnic of Malang. "I felt very happy and proud to be able to won this championship even though there were some obstacles to my knowledge. However, I was grateful to be able to carry the name of the Department, Study Program, and even the name of the campus," she added.

This success showed that with determination and careful preparation, various limitations can be overcome.

This victory is not only proud of Qarina Chuzaimah and the State Polytechnic of Malang, but also an inspiration for other students to continue to excel in academic and non-academic fields.

The experience of this championship taught Qarina Chuzaimah many valuable lessons as she managed to perform brilliantly in front of many other participants. She felt grateful to be able to go beyond her limitations.

Qarina shared her ups and downs during the competition. "The joy was that I got a championship that I never dreamed of before. The downside was that I had to study harder to master other skills," she said.

With the enthusiasm and dedication shown, Qarina is hoped to motivate other students to continue to excel and bring the good name of the State Polytechnic of Malang to the national arena. This victory shows that strong determination and hard work can produce brilliant achievements for himself and the campus. (*)
